Following a highly successful launch in Chicago in mid-January, the remaining five 2014 installation training courses, sponsored by The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) and taught by the International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association  (CFI), have been secured.

“The Chicago event was so well received and attended that WFCA affiliates and member companies clamored to secure one of the five remaining seminars,” reported  Scott Humphrey, Chief Executive Officer, WFCA. “We could not be more pleased with the response to our program with CFI. People came from all corners of the country to attend our most recent course and I have no doubt response with be equally favorable for the remaining classes on the schedule.”

The 2014 schedule follows:

March 4-7 Baltimore

Hosted by the Maryland Northern Virginia Floor Covering Association at Fishman Solutions

March 18-21 Wichita, Kan.

Hosted by Star Flooring and Design

April 8-11 Atlanta

May 13-16 Seattle

Hosted by the Northwest Flooring Association

June 3-6 Los Angeles

“WFCA is leading the industry for installation training commitment for 2014,” said Jim Walker, CEO, International Certified Flooring Installers Association.  “ The workshops provide the opportunity for training and CFI Certification in carpet, ceramic, resilient, laminate and wood flooring surfaces.  Installers who successfully complete the two days of intensive training receive CFI Certification, decals and certificate.  As trainers, we are witnessing tremendous enthusiasm by installers for the program. It is definitely making a difference.”

"The enthusiasm I witnessed in Chicago was truly amazing,” commented Tom Jennings, Vice President, Member Services, WFCA. “Not only were attendees eager to learn new hands on skills, but they were equally receptive when I was presenting customer service techniques that benefit the retailer, customer and themselves. I feel that this is an area of weakness for many installers, not because they don't care, but rather because they've never been properly taught. These men and women truly wanted to improve. All in attendance were better off for the experience."

In order to qualify for this training and CFI certification, installers must have completed at least two years of active installation work. Standard program fees for the certification training is $495.00.  As an incentive for WFCA members, association sponsorship of the program reduces their rate to $295.  In addition, members may be eligible for greater discounts through the WFCA Scholarship Fund.  For more information on this program visit www.wfca-pro.org,  www.CFIinstallers.com or call CFI National Office at (816) 231-4646.

Space in the installer program is limited so interested individuals and companies are encouraged to sign up soon. WFCA membership is required to receive the discounts.   * Final pricing is based on guideline compliance and the availability of WFCA Trade Scholarship Funds
