The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) will host a Webinar, 'Taking Mortar to the Next Level' on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. CDT.

In 2012 the tile industry adopted a new standard for high performance mortars called A118.15. This type of mortar is designed for installations where flexibility, strength, heat resistance, water resistance, and freeze-thaw resistance are important. In this Webinar, attendees will learn about what drove the new standard, what tests are included in it, how it compares with similar ISO standards and which Handbook methods require an A118.15 mortar, according to the association. Attendees will also learn how to identify a truly A118.15 compliant mortar to make sure you are getting the performance required for an installation.
