CCA Global Partners announced the recipients of two $5,000 scholarships through the Alan Greenberg Scholarship Fund. The Fund was established in 2007 to assist employees of Carpet One Floor & Home stores as well as CCA Global employees and their family members who would like to pursue an entrepreneurial career.

“Alan and I both had our own companies before we founded CCA Global Partners. Entrepreneurship was in his blood. He would be honored to know that we are supporting young entrepreneurs in his name,” said Howard Brodsky, co-CEO of CCA Global.

This year’s recipients were selected by a committee that included Greenberg's family members as well as CCA Global board members and executives.

The first recipient, Tori Catalfo, is the granddaughter of Vickie Wissman. Wissman serves as CCA Global’s vice president of travel and conventions and has been with CCA Global for over 20 years.

Catalfo is the first woman in her family to go to college. She is currently a sophomore at the University of North Carolina–Greensboro, majoring in business administration with a double minor in information system technology and community therapeutic recreation. She helps fellow business students as a Peer Academic Leader (PAL).

The second recipient is Sawyer Smith. Smith is the son of David Smith, vice president of Skaff Furniture Carpet One Floor & Home in Flint, Mich..

Sawyer currently owns a small painting business. He is also an economics student at Wayne State University in Detroit. Sawyer has a passion for setting his own course and is already dreaming of other business endeavors. Sawyer is also a student athlete and has already learned how important efficiency can be when time is precious as he balances his school, sports and business.

The awards were officially presented at the stockholders meeting by Alan Greenberg’s son Tod Greenberg who is currently the vice president of technology at CCA Global. Since the recipients were not able to attend, they each provided a video message to be played for the group.

“There are so many young entrepreneurs in our CCA Global family. I’m excited to see what their futures hold," he said.
