Redesigned Website Launched for H.J. Martin

h.j. martin
October 27, 2014

H.J. Martin & Son recently launched a redesigned website – hjmartin.com – to better serve its wide range of customers in the residential, commercial and retail solutions areas.

The site was created using responsive design techniques. This means the website automatically adjusts for the best viewing experience whether the user is on a desktop, tablet or mobile device.

“Our goal was to transform the H.J. Martin website into a user-friendly experience for the wide variety of customers we serve,” said David Martin, fourth generation family member at H.J. Martin, who oversaw the design and content of the new site. ”We believe we have accomplished that. No matter what aspect of our products or services someone is looking for, they should be able to find it easily, along with seeing it visually through photos.”

Website visitors will find substantially more content than on the previous version of the site. With the way it was constructed, customers also should be able to find what they need quickly through easy-to-understand navigation and faster site loads.

In the Residential section, the vast products and services available through H.J. Martin are highlighted. These include everything from flooring & tile, to shower doors, to floorcare. An extensive photo gallery of material choices helps the customer to visualize a multitude of possibilities. Information on each of the H.J. Martin design team members also is available on the website. Within Residential, sections are specifically tailored to the three areas served by H.J. Martin: New Home & Remodel, Main Street Commercial, and Multi-Family and Senior Living.

The Commercial section offers easy links to all six commercial divisions of H.J. Martin: Glass & Glazing, Walls & Ceilings, Flooring & Ceramic Tile, Doors & Hardware, Millwork Installation, and Floorcare. It also highlights the eight industries served by the company: Education, Government, Healthcare, Hospitality & Public Spaces, Office, Retail, Religious and Automotive. Featured projects within each industry also are shown. A wide array of the company’s commercial work is shown in the Commercial photo gallery. There also is an easy-to-use client portal for customers of H.J. Martin’s commercial division.

The Retail Solutions section of the website showcases each of the eight services offered to retailers: General Contracting, New Store Fixtures Installation, Remodels, Rollouts, Casework Installation, Merchandising, Concrete Polishing and Graphic Installation. Illustrations of how H.J. Martin has served specific retailers also are available.

The new website also features expanded information on the company itself: its history, its people, and its efforts in the community. A listing of current employment opportunities is available as well, along with the latest company news.
