The Delmarva chapter of the International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association (CFI) and the Mid Atlantic Floor Covering Association have announced two upcoming events: “Understanding Wovens,” 3-6:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and an Installers Christmas Party, 6:30-9 p.m. Dec. 19.

Understanding Wovens will take place at Jim Boyd’s Flooring America, 12 W. Aylesbury Rd., Timonium, Md. Led by instructors Roland Thompson of Natural Fiber Installation Certification (NFIC) and John Copsey of CFI, this class for salespeople, installers and estimators will cover the construction of woven carpet, seaming a woven and the difference between installing woven and tufted products.

The Installers Christmas Party will be held at Golden Corral, 5621 Spectrum Drive, Frederick Md. Organizers said the event will include “food, giveaways, fun and networking.”
