USG and XL Partner on USG Durock Brand X2 Primer-Sealer
USG Corp. and XL Brands have partnered to introduce USG Durock Brand X2 Primer-Sealer.
"This unprecedented warranty will provide specifiers and architects with options that have not been available before when using self-leveling gypsum underlayments,” said John Reale, USG's general manager, substrates and specialty.
Designed for use directly over USG Levelrock Brand and USG Durock Brand self-leveling gypsum underlayments, USG Durock X2 primer sealers offers the warranty when used in conjunction with any XL Brands manufactured adhesives, according to Reale.
This announcement comes on the heels of a collaborative partnership between USG and XL Brands to bring solution-based systems that address moisture and substrate issues, installation speed requirements, bonding and performance applications and full system warranty protection to the industry.
“USG and XL Brands have co-developed technology that allows for a quick installation that stands the test of time,” said Joe Tuttolomondo, vice president of XL Brands.
