Greg Colando, founder of Interface’s Flor division, has joined the Fireclay Tile board.

Colando brings with him 30 years of growth and management experience. He spent 13 years as the Flor division's president, leading the brand’s success in both the consumer and commercial design space.

Colando takes a seat at a transforming organization, which has quadrupled since 2010, according to a company representative.

“I was attracted to Fireclay for its design flexibility and authenticity with recycled tile, handmade in California,” said Colando. “With its tech-driven business model, the time is right for this kind of brand.”

Fireclay Tile has been re-invented by CEO Eric Edelson. In 2009, Edelson partnered with founder Paul Burns to lead the re-launch of the 29-year-old brand into an online tile buying experience, delivering free product samples and made to order ceramic and glass tiles, all with the guidance of Fireclay’s team of design consultants. Offering support online, over the phone, or in-person in two showrooms, Fireclay’s design consultants help with design and product selection, creating SketchUp renderings of how Fireclay Tile will look in a home.

“Colando is passionate about bringing sustainable, fresh design product experiences to homeowners and trade customers and he has proven his innovative vision throughout his career,“ said Edelson. “His expertise will support our rapid expansion as a heritage brand, re-made for the modern design consumer.”
