J+J Flooring Group is partnering with APPA, a professional association of education facility managers, to present a Facilities Drive-In workshop on Tuesday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.

Working in collaboration with APPA and Kent State University, J+J Flooring has developed a content focus that has strategic application to financial outcomes and student and faculty satisfaction in education facilities.

Sessions will address branding and the built environment, and the benefits of leveraging facilities to enhance the brand awareness and preference for educational institutions, as well as explore the emergence of “evidence-based design” in the product evaluation and selection process for commercial interiors.

"Educational institutions have a tremendous opportunity today to drive positive financial and stakeholder outcomes by leveraging their brands and considering evidence-based design for their flooring selection,” said David Daughtrey, J+J Flooring's director of business development for education. “This workshop will provide facility professionals the insight, tools and real-world examples they need to implement successful branding and evidence-based flooring specifications at their institutions.”

According to Daughtrey, the workshop is geared to local area technical and non-technical facility professionals at all levels who work at public and private educational institutions, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities.
