Ecore International has issued environmental product declarations (EPDs) for 12 products.

An EPD is a verified document that reports environmental data of products based on life cycle assessment (LCA) and other information in accordance with the international standard ISO 14025. Ecore’s EPDs were prepared by SCS Global Services and based on the NSF International Product Category Rule (PCR) for flooring: carpet, resilient, laminate, ceramic and wood.

Ecore has conducted EPDs for Forest rx, Terrain rx, UltraTile, ECOmax, Performance, ECOrx, Comfit, PlayGuard, Everlast Basic Rolls & Tiles, ECOsurfaces, QT and ECOsilence.

Following completion, Ecore’s EPDs were externally verified by FFK LTD as conforming to the requirements of ISO 14025:2006 and ISO 21930:2007. This verification meets LEEDv4 requirements.

"Ecore considers these EPDs a useful tool in providing transparent, comparable and authenticated information with regards to environmental performance of its products," according to an Ecore representative.
