Quick•Step’s professional cycling team, Etixx/Quick•Step, will donate its time today at the Riders Gala—a fundraising event benefiting the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Sacramento, Calif.

"This is a really noble event that the Etixx/Quick•Step pro cycling team is taking part in, prior to the upcoming Amgen Tour of California race,” said Paij Thorn-Brooks, vice president of brand marketing for Quick•Step. “Each year the racers and principals of the Etixx/Quick•Step team donate their time to support this charity fundraiser for the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. At the charity event, the team will spend time with children cared for by the Shriner’s hospital as well as provide Quick•Step cycling team items to be used in a silent auction that raises money for the hospital."

Etixx/Quick•Step is a World Tour cycling team established in 2003. According to Thorn-Brooks, since its inception, the team has captured almost 500 victories including 14 Monument Classics, four Road World Championships, five ITT Road World Championships, two TTT World Championships, two World Cups and an Olympic Title. This Quick•Step sponsored team was known last year as “the winningest team” for the third year in a row due to 68 overall wins (64 road). 2014 was also the third consecutive year that the team surpassed 60 victories in a season.
