Milan-based designer and architect, Piero Lissoni, will be a speaker at Domotex 2016, taking place Jan. 16 through 19 in Hannover, Germany.

Lissoni and his team are responsible for some of the world’s most iconic architectural and interior design projects, according to show organizers. His studio, Lissoni Associati, currently employs a staff of 70, and offers creative solutions for clients such as Alessi, Boffi, Cassina, Cappellini, Fritz Hansen, Kartell, Knoll International and Living Divani. The portfolio spans a wide spectrum, including kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, accessories, lamps and interior designs for hotels, homes, exhibition stands, showrooms and luxury yachts. Lissoni also heads the graphic design studio GraphX and develops corporate design concepts for big companies and cultural institutes.

Lissoni is known for his elegant, minimalist style, pure lines, subtle shapes and high-quality materials.

“[Lissoni] displays an intuitive skill in mixing materials and employs clever touches and design details to create stunning effects,” said a Domotex representative. “This is especially evident in hotel interiors such as the Monaco & Grand Canal Hotel in Venice, the Mare Pineta in Milano Marittima and the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam.”

Lissoni will speak in the Innovations@Domotex Area in Hall 6 about trends and developments in architecture, and will make special reference to flooring and how the right choice of flooring can determine architectural results. According to show organizers, trade visitors will be able to put this theory to the test when they view the selection of new flooring products arrayed in the Innovations@Domotex areas in halls 6, 9 and 17. These displays are also the starting point of guided tours led by international designers, architects and interior designers, who will take their guests around the event and point out the latest innovations and most exciting developments in the flooring sector.
