Founded by designer Suzanne Tick, STI will play an integral role in the future of design and vision at Tarkett, contributing to both the commercial and residential business in product development, thought leadership and marketing, according to the company.

“By responding to the architectural and design community’s need for adaptability and transformation of high-performance products that also exceed aesthetic requirements, Tarkett is demonstrating a strong commitment to the future of the global built environment,” said Tick.

STI specializes in material brand strategy, product development for commercial interiors. Tick is known for her intelligent and enthusiastic approach to design, drawing inspiration from her hand weaving practice. Since 2005, she has collaborated with Tandus Centiva, creating high-end designs inspired by the art, technology, fashion and architecture world. Tick also serves as creative director for textile manufacturer Teknion, where her collection “Textured Edge” received an Interior Design HiP award at NeoCon 2015.

“Suzanne and the STI team are an incredibly talented group with the experience and vision to elevate the Tarkett brand to new heights in the design world,” said Chris Stulpin, senior vice president, design for Tarkett. “Through their current involvement with Tandus Centiva, the firm has also developed a detailed understanding of the Tarkett mission to provide a complete line of beautiful, sustainable flooring products for a wide variety of interior applications. We’ve been blown away by what her team offers in the commercial design space; we are confident that they will bring a unified approach while maintaining separate identities, crossing over to our residential collections.”
