The National Academy of Floor Covering Training (NAFCT) has added IICRC Certification Wood Floor Maintenance Technician (WFMT) to its list of classes.

NAFCT and IICRC-approved instructor Roy Reichow are bringing the class to locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, with classes already scheduled for Minneapolis, May 19 and 20 and Toronto, June 8 and 9.

The wood floor maintenance technician course consists of 14 hours of training over two days. Emphasis will be placed on teaching participants an overview of wood floor care that
includes initial, routine, periodic and restorative processes.

The introductory course was developed for individuals engaging in floor
maintenance. It will teach the basic understanding of wood science, wood floor finish type and proper care and maintenance.
Completion of this course will provide participants with the academic and hands-on training to obtain certification.

Reichow is a National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) regional trainer, and holds NWFA certifications in wood floor installation, sanding and finishing, sales counselor, inspector and commercial inspector. He is also an IICRC certified wood/laminate floor inspector and a wood floor maintenance technician-approved instructor.
