Week nine marks the second week of ceramic tile installation education. The students are permanently laying tile in their workspaces and wrapping up the final week of hands-on training. 

As the program expands and more and more colleges and organizations are made aware, the need for more sponsorship is still present.

In week eight, the FCEF students begin learning ceramic tile installation. They start by dry laying tile and getting the pattern down. 

The ever-popular National Installer of the Year competition from The International Surface Event (TISE) is going on the road as TISE announces the Regionals competition.

In week two of hardwood installation, the students got the opportunity to learn about sanding and finishing a hardwood floor.

Mapesil T is a professional-grade, 100%-silicone sealant for use on multiple substrates.

Logan Reavis, technical services manager, and Mike DeMello, technical services field representative, Mapei, worked with the UNLV students to build the tiled benches

The day-long programs will take place in July in Georgia and Kentucky.
