The Spring 2022 Board of Directors and Associate Member Meeting at the Cloister on Sea Island was a resounding success, according to Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI).

Local area high school students were shuttled to the Tampa Convention Center during the NWFA Expo where they were introduced to the hardwood flooring industry as a career option by a panel of flooring industry professionals. 

In addition to sharing their journeys in the flooring industry, the speakers and the attendees discussed how to recruit more women and how to retain those currently working in the hardwood industry.

New designs incorporate old and new techniques and are inspired by Celtic monuments and Japanese shrines 

The awards, sponsored by Dal-Tile Corp., were an opportunity to showcase craftsmanship. 

Sika’s technical crew performed a full grouting demonstration on a tile wall mockup for gatherings of the industry’s top installers and distributors.

Merkrete, a Parex USA brand, brought its 50 years of tile setting material knowledge to the Las Vegas Convention Center to show industry leaders better and more streamlined solutions designed to provide better results and save time.   

During the National Wood Flooring Association Expo, running April 12-14 in Tampa, Florida, Jon Namba, alongside eight other instructors, will participate in the four-part series Tech Zone Demo—Master Craftsman Skills.
