Bodur: Turkish ceramics gaining ground
“Ceramics is the leading sector in Turkey,” said Zeyzep Bodur, Turkish Ceramic Federation chairperson, during the recently held Unicera exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey. “It is the sixth biggest in the world – ranking third in Europe.”

The 21st annual Unicera International Ceramic and
Bathroom Fair went into full swing this morning following an opening ceremony
that included state-of-the industry commentary from Zeyzep Bodur, Turkish
Ceramic Federation chairperson, Turkey’s minister of industry and commerce
Zafer Caglayan, and several additional industry and commerce spokespeople.
“Ceramics is the leading sector in Turkey,” said Bodur. “It is the sixth biggest in the world – ranking third in Europe.” She added that economic contributions of the ceramics industry have been remarkable, however, remain proactive and taking precautionary steps for Turkey’s continued success in the segment was imperative. Following the opening conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony, visitors to Unicera were greeted with new introductions at each turn.
VitrA, as has been its tradition, unveiled 30 new additions to its Karo line, as well as five new collections to its VitrA Rezidans series, including: Eko-Teknologic, Tekno-Organic, Modern Luxe, Timeless and Vogue.

Koskinen, Canakkale Seramik & Kalebodur released Bond, a
technologically produced ceramic tile collection.
Lastly, Brezza Mosaic’s mosaic glass tiles can be utilized in various applications, including poolside, kitchens, bathrooms, columns, and more.
