Capel Rugs is holding an anniversary party for retailers, designers, and the media Sunday, April 23 at the April High Point Market in N.C., to celebrate the company’s centennial year. The festivities will kick off with an N.C.-based Biltmore champagne toast at noon on Sunday in the company’s showroom in Historic Market Square. The toast will include remarks by Leon Capel Jr., Jesse Capel, and Arron Capel, sons of Capel Rugs founder A. Leon Capel, who led the company as co-directors from the 1970s until the 2010s. The toast will be followed by lunch along with ice cream, cake and cake pop favors. During the celebration, Capel’s second generation of company leadership will be sharing stories and signing the 100th anniversary product catalog upon request. Hosts for the event will be Cameron Capel, vice president of national accounts; Mary Clara Capel, director of marketing; Ron Capel, managing director of retail; and Richard Capel, director of manufacturing, part of the current third generation of company leadership.
“We invite all of our dealers, designers and other members of the extended Capel family to join us for this festive High Point Market celebration,” said Cameron Capel. “One hundred years in business is a major milestone, and this achievement underscores our long tradition of providing the very best quality, service and customer satisfaction. Our dealers are like family, so we’re excited to share this anniversary with them.”
