Bel Air, Md. -- Specialty flooring distributor Spartan Surfaces announced a variety of team changes.

Jeremy Whipple, former chief marketing and operations officer for Spartan Surfaces, has transitioned to to AVA by Novalis as vice president of commercial business development.

Rick Rollins, leads and claims coordinator, and Adam Gable, CFO, will work in tandem to strengthen Spartan’s focus on product performance and market data. Rollins, who spent the last two and half years developing and launching Spartan’s customer relationship management tool, Rollins will solve problems alongside the product team lead, Joey Lester. Lester has been promoted from product manager to vice president of supplier relations.

Meredith Nicholson is stepping up from marketing director to vice president of marketing. Nicholson has spearheaded Spartan’s marketing strategy since 2011 and now manages a team of Lexi Wright and Chis Judd.

Emily Hart has been promoted to manager of supplier relations. Hart’s growing responsibilities include a more hands-on role in supplier communications to ensure all goals are in line, and overseeing Spartan’s East Coast showrooms in Washington D.C., New York City, and at the Maryland headquarters. Kelly Lynch shifts from customer service, where she worked for two years, to manager of supplier relations.

Emily Verger has been promoted to Spartan’s sample department manager, where she leads a team of three, dubbed #SpartanSquad.
