Tarkett recently debuted Faux Bois + Techtonic, an LVT flooring product created by Tandus Centiva. Designer Manuel Navarro doesn’t believe in forcing anything to become something it’s not. Starting with the irregular grain structure of natural birch, Navarro played with the scale and proportion of the visual in an almost cartoon-like fashion, letting Faux Bois tell a story of its very own.

“Traditionally with the design of LVT, we're always trying to create designs that mimic natural wood. But I thought, why not embrace the fact that it isn't real wood?” said Navarro. “Design has to be humanistic, approachable, and casual. That's what I look for when I'm purchasing items for my own home or office, and that's what I think I've accomplished with Faux Bois.”

Faux Bois proves to be as durable as it is stylish with premium Contour construction, a 32 mil wear layer, and new state-of-the-art Techtonic protection to deliver unmatched durability in high-traffic areas. Tarkett’s Techtonic’s polyurethane technology is super tough, resisting scratching, abrasions, scuffing and staining, which ensures that floors look nicer for longer. Techtonic’s matte finish adds beauty, depth, and dimension, for safe and beautiful floors that stand up to the worst of wear.

Made in America, Faux Bois with Techtonic is suitable for a variety of segments including retail, education, office, and healthcare. As part of Tarkett North America’s sustainability measures and commitment to people-friendly spaces, Faux Bois is: phthalate-free; contains 27.5% recycled content; recyclable through ReStart reclamation program; and meets new requirements for indoor air-quality credit on low emitting flooring (FloorScore) and low TVOCs.
