Jay Gould, president and CEO of Interface, and Erin Meezan, vice president and chief sustainability officer, will participate in Climate Week NYC, September 23 – 29, 2019, in coordination with the UN and City of New York. Climate Week, hosted by The Climate Group, is an annual summit that has been driving climate action forward since it launched in 2009.

Meezan will participate in the Prince of Wales Leaders Roundtable on Sunday, September 22. On Wednesday, September 25, Gould will speak at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development CEO Forum, moderated by Bloomberg. In addition, CDP, a non-profit leading a global disclosure system for investors, companies and cities to manage their environmental impacts, will host an event at Interface’s New York showroom on Tuesday, September 24.

Participation in Climate Week NYC continues Interface’s commitment as a leader in sustainability. In 1994, Interface set out on its journey to have no negative impact on the planet by 2020, called Mission Zero. Through transforming its business, the flooring manufacturer took a step toward reversing global warming and creating a climate fit for life. Twenty-five years later, and on track to achieve Mission Zero, Interface set its sights on the continued activation of its new mission, Climate Take Back.
