CARE Adds New Carpet Collection Sites in California
As part of CARE’s efforts to increase carpet collection for recycling across the state, CARE has added several new sites: Crenshaw Carpet, Inglewood, Los Angeles County; Falcon Transfer Station, Wilmington, Los Angeles County; Flooring Innovations, Palm Desert, Riverside County; HM Flooring Group, Compton, Los Angeles County; Lancaster Flooring, Lancaster, Los Angeles County; Magic Carpet, Brea, Orange County; Maxwell Brothers Flooring America, Lomita, Los Angeles County; South Gate Transfer Station, South Gate, Los Angeles County; and V&S Carpet & Flooring, Artesia, Los Angeles County
There are currently 123 CARE public drop-off sites in all 58 California counties. CARE supports drop-off sites by providing at no cost a container for collection, third-party hauling to transport carpet material to recycler, promotional materials for local government and the hosting facility, technical assistance from CARE staff and ready access to micro grants that support site set-up and collection equipment/infrastructure.
