I4F, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the flooring industry, announced that it has signed a technology licensing partnership agreement with Hesse-Lignal for Poreguard, a patented technology that delivers a protective deep-pore coating suitable for all wood surfaces. As a result of the agreement, i4F becomes the sole licensor of Poreguard worldwide.

Poreguard works on all wood surfaces, including floors and furniture, and provides deep pore protection while preserving the natural look and structure of the wood. The coating is moisture and dirt resistant and avoids discoloration. Suitable for use with existing lacquering lines, the introduction of the technology into production incurs little additional investment.
