Southwind Building Products debuted an extra-thick WPC flooring that reduces installation times.

Introduced during an online product launch to flooring dealers, Summit WPC is a 19 mm-thick plank (nearly 3/4") and measures 5” x 60”.The product features a 30-mil wear layer, 3 mm IXPE attached pad, micro bevel, Embossed In Register (EIR), and the Uniclic Locking System, which makes Summit easy to install in tight spaces and under door jambs.

CEO Drew Hash highlighted how the thicker plank offers significant installation advantages in time and money savings by avoiding the reinstallation of subfloor material in a typical floor replacement project.

The collection is available in oak and hickory colors and will be on display at The International Surfaces Event booth 1557. Summit carries Southwind’s standard Lifetime Residential Warranty and 10-Year Commercial Warranty.

"Summit stands on its own as a well-designed WPC that has an appealing design aesthetic," said Tony Wright, president, AHSG Commercial USA and AKBA. "But it is also an innovative solution for finished flooring elevation differences that often can only be resolved with additional underlayment at a high cost to the consumer. This will be a product our members can win with every day!”
