Nine flooring professionals from across the country earned their Certified Installation Manager (CIM) designations during an intensive two-day training event hosted by Schönox HPS North America in Florence, Alabama, on December 4-5.

The training, organized by the Flooring Contractors Association (FCICA), featured mentorship from industry veterans Don Styka of Tarkett and Scott McDonald of Lansing Tile & Mosaic. 

The new certified managers include: John Augustine and Luke Carney of Chattanooga Flooring Center; Ben Bylsma and Joe Walker of Covington Flooring Company, Inc; Jason Henderson, Brian Lord and Mario Perrucci of Atlanta Flooring Design Centers; and Greg Roseman and Anthony Sanmartin of Dalene Flooring.

Following the certification program, Schönox hosted a regional meeting open to both FCICA members and non-members. The event included educational sessions on luxury vinyl tile installation and floor preparation techniques, along with a tour of Tarkett's luxury vinyl tile plant.

This marks FCICA's eighth regional meeting as part of their ongoing industry outreach efforts. The event demonstrates FCICA's commitment to professional development in the flooring industry, with plans to host additional training events and regional meetings throughout 2025.
