Kyle Kirkwood delivered a masterful performance at the historic 50th Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 7, leading 46 laps from pole position to secure Andretti INDYCAR's 75th victory in series history.
Driving the No. 27 PreFab Honda, which prominently features the MAPEI logo, Kirkwood maintained control throughout the caution-free race, recording the fastest leader lap time of 1:08.475.
"We had a really good qualifying, an awesome race and an amazing strategy," Kirkwood said after his commanding win. "We controlled the race the whole time."
This victory not only marks Kirkwood's third career INDYCAR win but also highlights the successful partnership between MAPEI Corporation and Andretti INDYCAR. Luigi Di Geso, President and CEO of MAPEI North America, celebrated the win as a reflection of their shared commitment to excellence.
The construction solutions company's emphasis on precision and innovation aligns perfectly with Kirkwood's racing style, as demonstrated by his flawless performance from pole to podium. The Andretti INDYCAR team now looks ahead to Round 4 at Barber Motorsports Park on May 2-4.
