Roppe Holding Company (RHC) has announced the appointment of Norman J. Freebeck as president, where he will oversee strategic direction, operational performance, and corporate culture across all RHC companies.
Freebeck, who brings more than 30 years of manufacturing leadership experience, has served with RHC for over 14 years. Most recently, he was vice president of operations at Flexco in Tuscumbia, Alabama, where he led a major business transformation that doubled revenue and expanded the workforce by 20% while improving safety, sustainability, quality, and customer service metrics.
His prior experience includes seven years as plant manager at Tarkett's vinyl flooring facility in Florence, Alabama, leading the greenfield startup of Omnova Solutions' Genflex thermoplastic roofing facility, and serving as Maintenance & Production Manager at Rexam's paper-coating facility in North Carolina.
Freebeck began his career as a U.S. Navy Submarine Officer aboard the USS Georgia, receiving advanced training in nuclear engineering and operations. He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.
The announcement coincides with Roppe's 70th anniversary celebration, with Judy R. Miller, Vice President of Employee & Customer Relations, expressing confidence that "Mr. Freebeck's leadership will take us into the next 70 years of Roppe's success."
