Tri-Co Appoints New CEO and Rebrands for Expansion

Tri-Co, a 65-year-old commercial flooring contractor based in San Diego, California, has appointed Miguel Burboa as CEO following a majority investment from his firm Fuerte Capital. The company has simultaneously rebranded from "Tri-Co Floors" to "Tri-Co".
Burboa, a San Diego native with private equity and operations experience, will lead the expansion alongside existing leadership team members Mike Baker (VP of sales - end user) and Jason Anderson (VP of sales - GC), who collectively bring over 77 years of industry expertise.
The rebrand includes a new logo, updated visual identity, and modern website to align with the company's growth ambitions beyond traditional flooring services. Founded in 1959, Tri-Co has built its reputation on quality workmanship and customer service throughout Southern California.
The leadership transition preserves the company's founding values while introducing fresh strategic direction focused on geographic expansion and investments in personnel and technology.
