St. Louis-based Ambassador Mid-West Floor appointed Reist Mummau as VP of sales and business development and RJ Petersen as VP of operations and technology. Mummau brings 25+ years flooring experience from Happy Floors Distribution, while Petersen contributed two decades of operational expertise at RFMS

As the vice president of sales and business development,  Mummau brings a wealth of knowledge to Ambassador Mid-West, most recently serving as executive vice president at Happy Floors Distribution. While there, he led national sales strategy, built high-performing teams, and helped position the company for sustained growth. With over 25 years of experience in the flooring industry, Mummau has established a strong reputation for driving results, launching successful product lines, and expanding into new markets. At Ambassador Mid-West, he will oversee all sales efforts across retail, builder, and pro business divisions. Mummau also will work closely with estimating and customer service teams to refine strategy and strengthen customer relationships.

Petersen joins Ambassador Mid-West as the vice president of operations & technology, bringing more than two decades of experience streamlining processes, leading teams, and implementing strategic technology solutions to increase efficiencies. Prior to joining Ambassador Mid-West, Petersen served as director of professional services at RFMS for 19 years, where he led major implementations, helped clients maximize technology effectiveness, and built high-performing teams that consistently exceeded expectations. When he is not tackling operational challenges, Petersen enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new places.

Ambassador Mid-West Floor includes a 15,000 sq ft showroom, along with a substantial warehouse and company headquarters for its nearly 150 employees, in the Chesterfield Valley; a showroom in Glendale, Missouri and an appointment-only showroom in Shiloh, Illinois. The company a member of the National Flooring Alliance, a consortium of fewer than 50 of the most respected independent flooring companies in the country.
