Manu and Rika Shah, co-founders of MSI, a leading North American supplier of flooring, countertops, wall tile and hardscaping products, have made the largest cash gift in Providence St. Jude Medical Center's history to establish the Shah Happiness Center for Cardiovascular Health.
The transformational philanthropic gift will expand access to advanced cardiovascular care, support innovative treatment programs, and help meet growing demand in the Orange County community. The donation was announced by Kenya Beckmann, Chief Philanthropy and Health Equity Officer for Providence's South Division.
For Manu Shah, the gift represents a deeply personal commitment to the medical center that provided life-saving care. "St. Jude saved my life," Shah said. "Their care has been a constant in my journey, and this gift is our way of giving back to the place that gave us so much—especially time. Time to watch my children grow, time with my grandchildren and time to live fully."
The Shah Happiness Center for Cardiovascular Health will enhance the medical center's ability to provide comprehensive cardiac care while supporting Providence's mission of "Health for a Better World through compassionate, excellent care to every person we serve."
MSI has evolved into a significant presence in the North American building materials industry, supplying flooring, countertops, wall tile, and hardscaping products to contractors, designers, and homeowners throughout the continent. The company's success has enabled the Shah family to become significant philanthropists in their community.
