Building Products Inc. (BPI) has unveiled a comprehensive leadership transition plan that reshuffles its executive team while maintaining continuity at the top.
The most significant change sees Dan Riley stepping down as president and CEO to assume the role of chairman of the board of the Memphis, Tennessee-based distributor of flooring and decorative surfaces. Riley will be succeeded by Wally McAlexander, who brings extensive financial expertise to the CEO position.
Glynn Alexander, who served as chairman for 24 years, transitions to vice Chairman, maintaining his strategic involvement while making room for new leadership. Austin Starnes, a 20-year BPI veteran with experience across multiple leadership roles, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, where he will oversee daily operations and the executive team.
The company also announced two vice president promotions. Jeremy Veach moves into the newly created role of vice president of product strategy after 12 years building BPI's Tile Division. Brad Bossence steps up to vice president of operations, where he will focus on cross-business collaboration and long-term value creation.
