Ecore International Acquires HTI Recycling

Pennsylvania-based Ecore International has acquired HTI Recycling, a tire collection and crumb rubber manufacturer, along with its subsidiaries Edge Rubber Recycling and D&G Heavy Equipment Leasing.

The acquisition adds 81 employees to Ecore's team, strengthening the company's vertical integration strategy in the rubber recycling market. HTI, based in Lockport, New York, has established itself as a Northeast leader in tire recycling and reuse operations.

The deal aligns with Ecore's mission to transform reclaimed rubber materials into high-performance products through its TRUcircularity™ program, which enables customers to reclaim end-of-life rubber for transformation into new surfaces with zero waste outcomes.

"This acquisition is a meaningful step in Ecore's strategy to rid the world of rubber waste by strengthening our supply chain and expanding our scale," said Ecore CEO Art Dodge. The companies have maintained a partnership relationship prior to the acquisition, providing operational familiarity.

HTI traces its circularity roots to founder Derek Martin's early work reclaiming and recycling used Guinness barrels. Martin, along with his son Carl E. Martin, built the company into a regional tire recycling leader known for innovation and reliability across the Northeast market.

The acquisition positions Ecore to better address the millions of tons of rubber waste generated globally. By bringing tire collection and processing capabilities in-house, Ecore can better control its supply chain while expanding its capacity to serve customers seeking sustainable surface solutions.
