ASID Celebrates 50th Anniversary at Atlanta Conference
Gather will bring together ASID members and industry professionals for continuing education, keynote presentations , and networking opportunities

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Gather 2025 National Conference has opened in Atlanta. Scheduled for August 17-19, 2025, the conference will celebrate ASID's 50th anniversary, marking five decades of design leadership while exploring the future of the interior design profession.
Atlanta holds special significance as the host city, having played a pivotal role in ASID's organizational development and serving as a key hub for the growth of the interior design profession throughout the organization's history. The city's architectural heritage, creative culture, and forward-thinking design community provide an ideal backdrop for this milestone celebration.
"ASID is proud of its legacy and excited to celebrate it at this year's GATHER," said Khoi Vo, Chief Executive Officer of ASID. "Most importantly, Gather showcases the heart of our organization—our design community. ASID's practitioners and industry embody the passion and dedication that have fueled ASID for half of a century."
The conference theme, "Celebrating 50 years of Design Excellence: Honoring our Past, Designing the Future," will guide programming that explores how design is shaped by social and cultural contexts. Four key learning categories will structure the sessions: Health, Safety & Welfare Sustainability; Technology & Trends; Business & Leadership; and Design Inclusivity.
Featured speakers include Dr. Jennifer Keitt, who will deliver the opening keynote "Timeless Leadership: Designing a Life That Feels as Good as It Looks," focusing on strategies for purpose-driven leadership. Dr. Tracy Brower will close the conference with "How to Thrive: Evidence-Based Strategies to Persevere and Persist in Uncertain Times," offering research-based insights on navigating change.
The event will bring together ASID members and industry professionals for continuing education units (CEUs), keynote presentations, and networking opportunities across all sectors of the design community.
