Interface has announced Dominique Thompson and Grady Westmoreland as the 2025 recipients of the Joe Kyle Scholarship, continuing a 27-year tradition of supporting education in Troup County, Ga.

The scholarship, established in 1998 to honor Joe Kyle, a founding member of Interface's early LaGrange operations, provides $4,000 annually for up to four years to dependents of Interface employees at the company's LaGrange and West Point facilities. This year's awards bring the total number of scholarship recipients to 38 students.

Dominique Thompson, daughter of Utility Operator Mario Thompson Sr., graduated as valedictorian from Lanett High School with a 3.97 GPA. She served as president of both the National Honor Society and Beta Club while maintaining active roles in FBLA, FCCLA, robotics, and math clubs. Now studying Computer Information Systems at Alabama State University, Thompson said, "It's an honor to receive this scholarship as a first-generation college student. I'm excited to pursue a future in technology and make a difference."

Grady Westmoreland, son of Design Manager Fiona Westmoreland, graduated from LaGrange High School with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The Distinguished Honor Graduate earned Georgia Certificate of Merit recognition and AP Scholar with Distinction honors while competing in varsity baseball and golf. His community service included volunteering with the Miracle League, local elementary schools, and his church youth group. Westmoreland is now studying Finance and Management at UGA's Morehead Honors College with plans to attend law school and become a sports agent.

The scholarships recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement, reflecting Interface's commitment to investing in the families of its workforce and the broader Georgia community.
