Bjelin Partners with Strawberry Hotels on Sustainable Flooring

Strawberry, a hospitality operator with hotels across Scandinavia and the Baltics, has chosen Bjelin as its flooring supplier.
Strawberry has chosen Bjelin's Woodura Skogen flooring, certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, as its standard selection. Made with responsibly sourced oak from the renowned Spacva forest in Croatia, these floors benefit from Woodura technology, which enhances impact and water resistance while maximising resource efficiency. Using only a tenth of the wood for the surface compared to traditional flooring, Woodura ensures more trees remain in the forest.
Strawberry is known for its vision to create a unique ecosystem of experiences across the Nordics.
“Reducing our environmental footprint and caring for the planet is a top priority for us,” said Ann-Kristin Haga, head of procurement, Strawberry. “We’re excited to welcome Bjelin as one of our trusted flooring partners. Their expertise and commitment to quality align well with our values, and we look forward to working together on future projects.”
Bjelin has already supplied its flagship product, Woodura Planks, to Strawberry Clarion Hotel Draken in Gothenburg. In this architectural gem, where modern design and contrasting elements come together, the ease of installation and the durability of the surface-treated floors proved to be a significant advantage.
"We are proud to partner with Strawberry, a leading hotel operator with a vision to make the world a better place,” said Fredrik Hammarsten, regional manager of the Nordics, Bjelin. “This collaboration is a testament that Woodura Planks are embraced by the commercial market, offering the hospitality sector durable, high-quality solutions that align with our shared focus on sustainability.”
