REDWOOD CITY, Calif.— EXPO Design Center, a division of The Home Depot, recently launched a website pilot test, EXPO.com, powered by BroadVision Retail Commerce.

The site educates its users about EXPO Design Center and gives consumers online access to interior design and home decor products carried in EXPO Design Center stores. The retailer created the site to help promote EXPO stores and gather customer feedback.

Currently, the EXPO online store offers a select group of 200 products for sale. These products can be shipped via United Parcel Service to any location in the continental United States.

The merchandising and analysis capabilities of BroadVision Retail Commerce allow EXPO to gauge consumer interest and influence the direction of the site.

The site also provides users with an overview of EXPO Design Center's eight showrooms, company information, a store locater, and information about job opportunities and the EXPO credit card.

Decor elements are showcased for Kitchen, Bath, Carpet & Rugs, Lighting, Patio, Tile, Stone & Wood, Window Treatments & Accessories and Appliances. Lifestyle vignettes allow customers to visualize full room scenes and put all of the elements of an interior design project together.
