The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has presented the GSA Evergreen Award to Mohawk Industries of Kennesaw, Ga. This annual award recognizes the efforts of GSA corporate partners for their efforts in recycling, identifying environmentally preferable products and waste reduction.

Mohawk participates in several environmental initiatives, and is also a founding member of the U.S. Green Buildings Council (USGBC), a coalition from across the building industry that promotes environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
