Domco Tarkett Commercial has added Southern Tile Distributors Inc. in Norfolk and Richmond, Va., as a Tarkett Sommer distributor. With this agreement, Southern Tile adds Tarkett Sommer to its numerous Domco Tarkett Inc. brands, including all Tarkett products.

E. Marvin Slaughter started Southern Tile Distributors, Inc. in 1953 distributing asphalt tile, plastic wall tile and ceramic products. In 1959, Southern Tile expanded with a branch in Richmond, Va., Since 1991, the distributor has been a successful second generation family business, run by Slaughter's three son-in-laws.

Southern Tile has grown to become a full-service flooring distributor for residential and commercial products, with 75 percent of their sales residential and 25 percent commercial.

Southern Tile Distributors Inc. serves the entire state of Virginia and northeastern North Carolina.
