Design Materials of Pasadena, Calif., has hired Leah Smith to serve as their commercial salesperson for Orange and San Diego Counties. Smith is responsible for working with architects and designers in generating commercial specifications.

Smith brings seven years of commercial flooring experience with her, most recently with Diamond W Floor Coverings of Santa Fe Springs, Calif. and, before that, with Valley Western Distributors, formerly of El Monte, Calif.

Separately, Design Materials has added Northern California to their distribution territory for American Biltrite products effective immediately.
