CRI stalwart Hall retires

Industry veteran Murray G. Hall announced his retirement from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) at Surfaces 2002.


The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) announced the retirement of long-time employee Murray G. Hall at Surfaces 2002. He will remain associated with CRI as director emeritus.

Hall has served in the operations of several carpet manufacturers. In 1974, he became president of the Carpet Manufacturers' of the West (CMAW) and retained that office until the group merged with CRI in 1994.

Since 1994, Hall has served as the liaison between CRI and West Coast carpet manufacturers, and monitored government issues, educational efforts and the West Coast members' awareness of industry issues.
