Coverings has announced the call for entries to the 2005 Spectrum Awards, honoring outstanding achievements in ceramic tile design. The $10,000 grand prize will be awarded at the opening General Session of Coverings 2005, to be held in Orlando at the Orange Country Convention Center, May 3-6, 2005.

The 2005 Spectrum Awards competition is open to architects and other design professionals whose projects demonstrate creativity and achievement in the use of tile in residential and commercial design. The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Feb. 18, 2005, and the projects must have been completed within the last two years (February 2003 to February 2005) to be considered. The surface materials used in the installation must be ceramic tile.

Multiple entries are accepted and encouraged. Submissions must include the $100 single fee (plus $85 for each additional entry), a binder with an official entry form, a typed project description, high-quality photographs of the entry and an identification of the submission.
