The 2003 Antron Sustainable Flooring Performance grand prize was awarded to Fairbanks International Airport for C&A Floorcoverings' "Guardian I" carpet installed in 1979 and still performing to this day.

The 2003 Antron Design Award Grand Prize was presented to Chicago-based Eastlake Studio for its innovative interior design at the offices of Storck USA in Chicago. The design team used bright colors and special lighting techniques to create striking, candy-like visuals for the candy manufacturer's office space.

The carpet used, a custom color of Atlas Carpet Mills "Bubbles," provides color, pattern and texture throughout the office. A vibrant, cherry red color was achieved through the use of Antron Legacy nylon.

The Large Office Category winner was Gensler, of Washington, D.C., for its work at the new law offices of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Washington, D.C. Designers specified "Entendre Sheared" by Bentley Prince Street in a custom color, as well as two custom carpet styles all constructed of Antron Legacy nylon.

Gold winners for the 2003 Antron Product Innovation Award went to "Tracing," by Atlas Carpet Mills in the broadloom category and "Design Connect" by Lees Carpet in the modular category. Both products are constructed with Antron Legacy nylon.

Silver winners were "Parallels" by Crossley Carpet Mills and "Penland" by Atlas Carpet Mills for the broadloom category, and "Chaos" by C&A Floorcoverings for the modular category.

The 2003 Antron Sustainable Flooring Performance grand prize award went to Fairbanks International Airport in Fairbanks, Alaska. The airport's carpet, installed in 1979, consists of two colors of C&A Floorcoverings' "Guardian I" constructed of Antron nylon.

The 2003 Antron Design Award ceremony was held recently at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
