A subsidiary of Leggett & Platt Inc. has purchased the Rug-Hold Co., according to a joint announcement made by Robert F. Weber, president of Leggett & Platt's Coated Fabrics Division and O.A. "Bud" Wyman, president of Rug-Hold.
"The Rug-Hold acquisition expands our product assortment significantly," Weber said. "We will now offer a full range of rug underlays made of natural rubber, felt and polyvinyl chloride."
Rug-Hold will continue to be marketed as a separate product line. Offices will relocate from Dalton, Ga. to Atlanta. Wyman will remain actively involved in a consulting capacity.
