Commercial flooring installation contractors applying for certification by the Floor Covering Installation Board (FCIB) will now benefit from a streamlined application process. Effective immediately, the FCIB trustees no longer require that candidates submit a HazCom plan or a description of complaint handling methods.

Other elements of the application have also been simplified or eliminated in a move to make the it more user friendly, according to the FCIB.

The FCIB is an independent eight-member panel of leading floor covering professionals, who have been appointed by the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association. The FCIB Certification Program was initiated in 1992.
