FieldTurf Tarkett takes it to the hoop, fires up new Basketball Court Division
Artificial turf and flooring maker FieldTurf Tarkett has started a Basketball Court Division in North America which will produce and market a full line of hardwood basketball courts.
"It is a well-developed and very comprehensive basketball surfacing system," said FieldTurf Tarkett CEO John Gilman of the new courts. "With the technology that both FieldTurf and Tarkett possess, you know that this product will be the finest in the industry."
The new line includes nine products featuring a lighter, cleaner and denser northern maple hardwood system, the company says. The courts are designed to provide high shock absorbency and improved ball rebound. The products will also include consistent wood grading and longer board lengths, FieldTurf Tarkett notes.
