'This site is a first for us'; NTCA launches online job board
The National Tile Contractors Association has launched a new
job listing service on its website at www.tile-assn.com.
Dubbed the NTCA Career Center, the online board will focus on job listings in
its core segments of “ceramic tile, natural stone and allied industry
companies,” the group noted. Searching for jobs on the site is free; however,
placing a listing on the board costs a small fee. Membership in the NTCA is not
required to use the board.
According to NTCA membership director Bob Brown, the site is the result of industry demand for a job search site targeted to the tile and stone industry. “The idea arose out of some conversations we had with contractors, manufacturers, fabricators and distributors,” Brown told National Floor Trends. “This site is a first for us.”
The Career Center offers a number of features, according to the NTCA. Employers can search for candidates based on specific criteria, as well as create an online resume agent to e-mail qualified candidates daily, and review online job activity statistics. Additionally, job seekers can browse listings based on certain criteria, save jobs for later review and receive e-mail notifications of potential job matches.
Members of the NTCA will receive a lower rate than non-members for posting jobs on the site. Additionally, the NTCA said it will offer a “special introductory offer” on pricing to companies that post on the board from now through June.
