Tuftex - Carpets of California, a division of Shaw Industries, will launch a new selling and marketing manual for its dealers in 2012. Entitled "Marpeting - Advertising & Marketing for Carpeting & Flooring," the book is written by Stefan Hoher, director of marketing technology for Tuftex, and advertising expert Drew Eric Whitman.

The manual describes more than "100 secrets" into the flooring industry's target buyer mentality and delivers specific tactics to develop a more effective marketing strategy. The Marpeting manual is accompanied by a sister website,www.marpeting.com,and includes open-source advertisements and online training. The site also features videos, links and additional information.

According to the company, the Marpeting book is part of Tuftex's educational offerings that also include a monthly newsletter and the Retail Sales Resource training program.
