RALEIGH, NC -- David Allen Co. has honored a “gifted and promising architectural student” from the North Carolina State University College of Architecture with a $5,000 scholarship. The dean of the college, who is tasked with selecting either a graduate or an undergraduate student, chose Matthew Petr.

Petr, who had been identified by the design school faculty as a “promising leader in architecture,” was presented with the 16th annual scholarship by David Allen Co.’s chairman and CEO, Robert Roberson.

“David Allen Co. has a long history of promoting the use of tile, marble and terrazzo through its relationship with and support of architectural and design schools. With offices in Raleigh, NC; Washington, DC; Columbia SC; and Miami, FL, the company is celebrating its 92nd year in 2012.
