The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) is calling on its members to submit nominations for the 2012-2013 NAFCD Board of Directors, as well as the 2012 NAFCD Leadership in Action Award and Lifetime Achievement Award, and the new NAFCD Innovation Honors.

All four nomination processes represent opportunities to recognize leaders in the floor covering industry. Serving on the NAFCD Board of Directors provides the chance to play a leadership role in the coming year. The Leadership in Action and Lifetime Achievement Awards distinguish people for their recent and long-term accomplishments. New this year, the Innovation Honors will recognize member companies that have developed and implemented an innovative business practice.

“NAFCD’s Lifetime Achievement award honors leaders whose efforts over the past several years have benefited the overall floor coverings industry, as well as their own companies,” said David Williams, NAFCD President. “Through our Leadership in Action Award, NAFCD recognizes up-and-coming leaders who are working to strengthen the value that we bring to the economy and our companies. We are also excited to introduce the NAFCD Innovation Honors, which showcase companies that introduce new ideas that have had a positive business impact. We look forward to celebrating the 2012 recipients’ contributions to the industry during our Annual Convention in Orlando.”

Nominations for all awards will be accepted through September 21, 2012, and the winners will be announced at the 2012 NAFCD Annual Convention and Executive Networking Forum, taking place November 13-15, in Orlando, Florida. The Innovation Honors recipients will be invited to highlight their accomplishments during the Peer Best Practice Sharing Workshop taking place at the Convention.

Members also have until September 21, 2012 to nominate a colleague or themselves to be considered for the 2012-2013 NAFCD Board of Directors. Terms begin in November 2012.

“As our economy and industry continue to recover, it is critical for NAFCD to have strong leadership to help our members push forward,” said Joe Reddington, incoming NAFCD President. “We strongly encourage members to submit a nomination for anyone who is passionate about the industry – including themselves. Our volunteer Directors have the opportunity to help drive the entire floor covering industry to greater levels of success and value.”
