The ACI Foundation, a wholly-owned and non-profit subsidiary of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), announces the addition of a director, Tricia Ladely.

Tricia Ladely served as Senior Research Chemist for SYNTHEON Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NOVA Chemicals Inc. She worked in research and product development at NOVA Chemicals a total of 17 years. After graduating from Grove City College, Penn. in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, she began her career as an analytical technician in paints and coatings and moved on through various technical positions related to polymers and the construction industry.  Her last eight years of work were focused on the concrete industry and bringing a new technology to market. Ladely’s work has resulted in her being a named inventor on 14 U.S. Patents. She currently serves as a board member for the ACI Pittsburgh Chapter.

In this newly created position, Ladely will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the ACI Foundation, overseeing its three councils – Strategic Development Council (SDC), Concrete Research Council (CRC), and Scholarship Council – and other programs. Additionally, she will serve as the manager of programs for SDC, and will serve as staff liaison to the CRC. Through the CRC, she will work with Foundation partners and ACI committee chairs on the Concrete Research Network, a clearing house for research needs, active projects, and archive of research results from network members. The Network will house a comprehensive calendar of network member dates/events.

“Tricia has been a friend of ACI for quite some time now, and we are excited to have her on board to head-up the ACI Foundation,” said Ron Burg, ACI executive vice president.  “With her extensive knowledge in concrete and the industry as a whole, we anticipate the Foundation will expand its role in advancing concrete knowledge, providing valuable research, offering financial aid to students, and discovering new technologies.”
