Retailers, designers and other buyers shopping the Capel Rugs showroom during the High Point Market, to be held Oct.18 to 23 in High Point, N.C., will have a chance to win one of the company's latest rug introductions during its 'Selfie' photo contest.

To enter the contest, showroom visitors should start by taking creative photos of themselves with their favorite new Capel rug in the company's showroom, located in Space 112 of Market Square. Then, they should email that photo to publicrelations@riversagency.com, where it will be posted to Capel's Instagram account and tagged with the hashtag #SelfieCapelRugEntry. Contestants are also encouraged to post images to their own Instagram accounts using that hashtag, but photos must be shared with Capel to be entered in the contest.

Viewers will be able to see all the contest entries on Capel's Instagram page or by searching #SelfieCapelRugEntry. By clicking "like," they will cast a vote for their favorite shot. The contest winner will be determined by which photo receives the most "likes" by the end of market, and they will receive an 8 x 11-foot version of the rug model they singled out in their photo.

The contest begins on Friday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m., the evening before the market's official opening and continues through the end of market. New entries will be posted at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily during market.

"Our 'Selfie' contest will be a fun way for customers to share their opinions about our rug introductions with other market-goers," said Allen Robertson, vice president of sales for Capel Rugs. "We have a lot of exciting new products planned for market, and it will be interesting to see which rug models generate the most 'likes.'"

According to Robertson, Capel is introducing collections this market that showcase the theme of Color Burst and Texture Riot. The range of fresh looks debuting includes three-dimensional piles and patterns and colorations with an energetic edge. Among the new styles are Berkeley, a silk sari look; Burleigh, a floral motif with the look of needlepoint; and Fretwork, a classic, interlaced decorative design in three fashionable colorways from the Williamsburg collection.
